Advantages
1. Flexible film which has no limits to measurement areas
Microelectrodes on thin bendable polymer film with thickness of 10 micrometers which can be gently attached to any type of surfaces including curved, folded, or wrinkled surfaces, and can be deeply inserted into objects such as battery cells or nervous and muscular tissues. They can measure non-invasively or with the least damage.
2. Configurations of microelectrodes covering 2D to 3D measurement
As a standard, the number of microelectrodes are lined up from 4 to 128, or can be set to a larger amount upon your request. Shape of our flexible polymer film substrate looks similar to a comb which has long thin teeth. Each tooth is soft and flexible, and has multi-microelectrodes with linear configuration on the surface, or it can be customized over 128 microelectrodes with other configurations.
3. The layout design with high flexibility.
The width of each tooth of polymer substrate is of micrometer size and the length is tens of millimeters. There are microelectrodes on the surface of the front part of the tooth and contacts on the surface of the body part of comb, from which measurement output is taken out of. The distance between microelectrodes and contacts is long enough so that the flexible measurement configuration can be taken. The stress from the film to the measurement point is low enough so that robust and reliable outputs can be measured. The design of layout of microelectrodes, contacts, length of each teeth, and shape of comb is flexible and easily customized.
4. Attractive cost performance to sustain your research activity
Low cost has been realized by using polymer film, simple design, and easy process, unlike conventional microelectrodes made by silicon or glass. We support your sustainable research.
How to Use Flexible Microelectrodes
Our microelectrodes can simultaneously measure at multipoint of an object. We can place the electrodes on the surface, inside, at near points, or at far points in the object utilized in research for neuroscience and electrochemistry.
1. Lined Measurements or Non-ordered Measurements
Lined Measurements
Lining up the top section to measure
Non-ordered Measurements
Moving the top section to any position to measure
2. Measurement of Various Types of Surfaces
Measurement by inserting to folds
Measurement of uneven and flat surfaces
3. Inside Measurements
Lined Measurements
Lining up the same depth of the top section for the lined iunside measurement
Non-ordered Measurements
Adjusting the top section to any depth and any position for inside measurement
