The product we are providing is Flexible Microelectrodes geared towards researchers in the science areas of electro-chemistry or neuroscience from universities or other laboratories at a low cost. It can measure a potential difference in research objects. There are many advantages compared to the conventional glass/silicon electrodes. Unlike the conventional electrodes, our microelectrodes are made on thin bendable polymer film, and they can be attached not only on flat surfaces but also on curved or uneven surfaces. With this product, you can measure the signal from the measurement objects by softly inserting it into a fold such as brain wrinkles without any damage and deeply pricking inside a subject with little damage. Our Flexible Microelectrodes can be widely used in various fields from electrochemistry to neuroscience.
Applications to neuroscience
As a microprobe used for research to measure the activities of neurons by applying Flexible Microelectrodes to both the surface including folds such as a brain wrinkle and the inside of objects such as brain and muscular tissues.
Applications to electrochemistry
As microprobe for measurement of potential difference in the objects such as battery cells, which is difficult for conventional microelectrodes made by glass, silicon or metal to be installed, and as microprobe for future electrochemical measurement such as scanning electrochemical microscopy.
